Simulated Civ — Privacy Policy

Simulated Civ is a web-based society simulator. The simulation runs in your browser over a deterministic engine, and you can play without creating an account. World seeds and game state are stored locally in your browser rather than in a personal profile on our servers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Simulated Civ collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is published by Simple Design LLC and is specific to Simulated Civ; our website privacy policy covers the Simple Design site and client services separately.

2. Information we collect

• Local game state. world seeds, settings, and in-progress simulations.
• Technical & usage data. standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested.

3. How we use information

• Local game state: save and reload your worlds and reproduce a seed exactly.
• Technical & usage data: keep the site available, secure, and performant.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate Simulated Civ:

• Amazon Web Services / CloudFront — web hosting and content delivery.

5. Data retention & deletion

Local game state remains in your browser until you clear it. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Your choices & rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, consistent with applicable law, by emailing simpledesignllcca@gmail.com.

7. Children’s privacy

Simulated Civ is intended for all ages. It is not directed at collecting personal information from children, and the app collects little or no personal data.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by the effective date above.
