MetalVault — Data Collection Policy

A transparent breakdown of the data MetalVault collects, why, and with whom it is shared.
What this policy covers
This Data Collection Policy is a plain-language summary of exactly what data MetalVault collects, why, and who it is shared with. It complements the MetalVault Privacy Policy, which contains the full detail.
MetalVault collects the following categories of data. For each, we list what is collected, why, and how it is shared or kept private.
Account information
- What: email address and credentials (handled by Supabase) and any profile details you add.
- Why: Create and secure your account and sign you in.
- Sharing: Stored with Supabase; not sold.
Marketplace content
- What: listings you create, including descriptions, prices, and photos.
- Why: Operate the buy/sell marketplace and show your listings to other users.
- Sharing: Listings you publish are visible to other users of the app.
Portfolio & order activity
- What: your simulated wallet, holdings, paper trades, exchange orders, and order history.
- Why: Run your portfolio, profit & loss, and the simulated order flow.
- Sharing: Not sold.
Device & notifications
- What: push-notification token and basic device and usage data.
- Why: Send the spot-price and threshold alerts you enable and keep the app stable.
- Sharing: Not sold.
Biometric unlock
- What: Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint.
- Why: Lock and unlock your wallet on your device.
- Sharing: Handled entirely by your device's operating system; your biometrics are never sent to or stored by us.
Selling your data & advertising
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising outside the purposes listed above.
Third parties that process data
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- Apple / Google push services — delivering price alerts you enable.
- Precious-metals price provider — live spot prices — receives no personal data.
Retention & your controls
We keep your account, listings, and portfolio data until you ask us to delete your account, then remove or anonymize it. Email us to request deletion.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing simpledesignllcca@gmail.com. Account holders can also delete their account directly in the app.
