CryptoComp — Privacy Policy
Effective June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CryptoComp, a crypto trading simulator and game by Simple Design LLC, handles your information.
1. Overview
CryptoComp is a free crypto-trading simulator and competitive game. You can explore as a guest; creating an account lets you sync progress, enter contests, and appear on leaderboards. All trading uses $100,000 in paper money — there are no real funds in your portfolio. The only real-money flow is optional payouts, processed by Stripe, when you win eligible contests.
This Privacy Policy explains what information CryptoComp collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is published by Simple Design LLC and is specific to CryptoComp; our website privacy policy covers the Simple Design site and client services separately.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. email address and password (handled by AWS Cognito), display handle, and an optional avatar color or profile photo you pick from your device library.
- Gameplay & simulated trading activity. your $100k paper portfolio, simulated trades and statistics, XP, league tier, streaks, achievements, contest entries, and prediction-game results.
- Payout information. the details Stripe needs to pay out eligible contest winnings.

- Moderation records. reports and blocks you submit about other users or content.

Stored in AWS; your email is never shown publicly and is not sold Your handle, avatar, simulated scores, profit/loss %, and recent simulated trades appear on public leaderboards and profiles Your email address and login credentials are never made public.
5. Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate CryptoComp:
- Amazon Web Services — Cognito authentication, AppSync/DynamoDB data, and S3 storage.
- Stripe — real-money contest payouts.
- Apple / Google push services — delivering notifications you enable.
- CoinGecko — live market prices — receives no personal data.
6. Advertising
CryptoComp is supported by ads served through Google AdMob (Google). To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners collect information through the app — including your device’s advertising identifier (Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID), IP address, general location, and data about the ads you are shown and interact with.
These ads may be personalized — selected based on your interests and ad activity. On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before your advertising identifier is used for personalized ads; if you decline, you will see non-personalized ads. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, and parts of the United States), we present a consent choice before serving personalized ads.
Google’s handling of this data is governed by How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy. You can reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in your device settings, and manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
7. Payments
Real-money payments and payouts are handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our servers; Stripe processes that information under its own privacy policy.
8. Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we use a device token to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
9. Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and gameplay data until you delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — including leaderboard entries and uploaded images — at any time from Profile → Delete account.
10. Your choices & rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, consistent with applicable law, by emailing simpledesignllcca@gmail.com. You can also delete your account from within the app.
11. Children’s privacy
CryptoComp is intended for 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by the effective date above.
